Best time to visit
Uganda can be visited all year. The drier months, roughly December to February and June to September, are generally easiest for game drives, hiking and park roads. Wetter months bring greener scenery and fewer visitors, with muddier trails.
Good to know
- Jinja and Ziwa are the easiest trips from Kampala. Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth and Kidepo need longer drives.
- Choose one or two regions per trip for more time on what you came for.
- Wildlife is wild, so sightings are never guaranteed.
